What is RSS?
If you read more than one blog or news site and don’t understand how RSS works, today is your luck day. RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a tool that will help you save lots of time while giving you the ability to stay up-to-date with all your favorite sites.
Well, lets start with a video… this is probably the best explanation I’ve seen to explain how RSS can save you time:
Now, after viewing that video, hopefully you understand the gist of RSS and FeedReaders. As you saw, using a reader can save you a great deal of time as you no longer have to visit every blog you want to track in order to see what is new.
As the video mentioned, Google Reader is a great option for those looking to set up a feed reader. Simply visit the site, set up an account (if you already have a gmail account, just login using that), and you’re ready to go.
